Orgasms have layers (like onions)

@jenderful JEN

As a masturbation connoisseur (I say, praising myself), I have experimented plenty over the years and will continue doing just so. Hard and fast, slow and sultry, in the bath…you know I can give you a review, and if I can’t yet then I’m always willing to try something new.

As of late, I have been enjoying masturbating just with my finger in the late, cold afternoons. It’s a nice and lazy way to warm myself up and absolutely detangle all the knots that gather in my muscles after a long day bent over the desk (not like that, you heathens!). I’m not much for just clit stimulation, I tend to need dual stimulation or quite a few rounds switching it up between my toys before I can orgasm, but honestly, that hasn’t even been the point.

There’s a lot of shame surrounding AFAB persons’ orgasms - partially because you don’t hear it spoken about like you do penises when you’re younger, leading to some secretive taboo, and partially because when it is brought up, the thing mentioned most is how ‘difficult’ it is. As if an orgasm is all there is to sex! Now, I could go on for a while about the failings of American sex education, but I’ll settle for telling you all who bother to read here and now: you don’t have to orgasm to have sex or masturbate (and in the same vein, you don’t have to clap your hands and consider yourself finished just because you did…‘finish,’ once. Misleading language, I know).

For whatever reason you want - denial kinks, teasing, warm-ups before a night of passion, or pure laziness - you are allowed to stimulate yourself without the pressure of ‘having’ to orgasm, which in itself tends to make it all the easier. It’s difficult to be in a pleasure mindset when you’re thinking “damn, am I not pleasing enough?”.

So recently, I’ve been taking my own advice, and getting more in touch with my clit. I set myself up against my pillows, and let myself wander and search for any and all tingles of enjoyment. I’ll drift between states for as long as I want (and as long as the toy survives) before slowly letting myself off, sleepy and content, even without reaching the famed completion.

As any wise woman will say, half the fun is in the journey ;)
